This 6.5 quart HDX tote is a compact, stackable bin that works best for small parts and other tightly grouped items. It fits everything from electrical and plumbing hardware to cables, drill bits, medicine cabinet items, makeup, and craft supplies, and the clear version makes contents easy to see from the sides. The plastic is described as thicker and stronger than cheaper Sterilite bins, but the small size, space inefficient shape, and lids that can crack or buckle under weight are the main drawbacks. It is a handy little organizer if the capacity is enough.

  • The lids can crack easily and buckle under weight, which can limit stacking reliability.

  • The 6.5-qt capacity can be too small for practical storage beyond small items.

  • The tote shape can be space-inefficient and not suitable for tight stacking in storage areas.

  • The plastic may off-gas a noticeable odor for weeks after purchase when the bin is reopened.

Please post here next time the sterilites are on sale for a dollar... I never see them on sale anywhere. Walmart has them for cheaper but the Walmart version does not stack as well and has a crappier lid than the ones pictured which I think they also sell at Target as you mentioned. Only place I used to get these good stackable sterilites on sale was at Big lots when they had a coupon that applied but know all the Big lots around here have closed
They do the sale for them in the very front of the store with all the tacky stuff down where I am. 98 cents. Always have em for back to school seems like.

I bought 10 of these last time and love them! Went back for more and they were sold out. Works great for organizing the medicine cabinet, small things in the linen closet, etc. it's small, but stackable and very durable
durable? the lids crack incredibly easy.

I've been buying from Lowes. I don't even have a costco in like 300 miles 😭

This is an awesome price! Well, it would be if you could actually put something more than a loaf of bread in these containers!

Have seen those. But is the plastic in those Iris boxes as thick/durable? We're tired of throwing out thin plastic storage containers when they inevitably crack, even with careful handing.

Thin-walled Sterites, etc… are fine for lightweight bulky contents and when you do not stack them, but we need something more durable.

Bought 16 and then went back for another 16. I use these to store LAN cables, micro USB cables, audio cables, USB extenders, drill bits, labeler, screw drivers, zip ties, etc. I do work with a lot of tech and wood working, so that is a kind of person these are for.

Definitely thicker and stronger plastic than crap Sterilite puts out nowadays.
