I have the TMAX from Walmart @$299 and have been pleased with it. Didn't even know you could buy direct via AE. Having two of these already (and have been happy with this brand); zero doubt I'll skip Walmart next time.

I bought one for vacation, and I'm currently trying to sell it. It worked well for me, and would hit 20-22 mph with my about 300 pound behind. It wouldn't pull a steep grade, but handled small hills without much issue. I bought mine for $255 after tax from eBay, new. I guess the only thing that bothered me was the plastic cover over the display has glue that looked distressed. I was hoping it was a peel.

Just want to share this, I just purchased one from the last sale and I like it so far. It gets me around my neighborhood with a lot of small hills and bad roads (SF) just fine, on some steeper hills it's a struggle but if you pedal-to-the-metal it will get through, and the steepest ones require me to get off my ass and walk, which is very embarrassing if a kid with ebike pass you by, just a fair warning.
I am average height and weight, and I mostly use this for grocery shopping and convenience store run, it can handles me + two big bags of groceries climbing up some small hills just fine at around 7-8mph, it's better than walking fwiw. Battery life is "okay", you can get around 10~12miles out each charge before you can feel the slow down. Other than that, it's very nice for the price, study build, suspensions are nice and the tires are air-filled type, so it's much smoother than solid ones. Motor is quite and smooth, brakes are weak but it's acceptable.
Very happy with my purchase so far. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them below.

Can you measure the distance/height in inches from the deck to the center of handlebars? Just trying to find something that can be used for a shorter teenesger for safety reasons. Thanks

Peel that cover off the display. It's thick but meant to be removed to reveal a clean display beneath.

40" basically spot on. The Ladped LP60 or LP80 is 37". That doesn't sound like a big difference but the ESMAX is significantly bigger. It's also like 47" long compared to 41" on the Ladpeds. I'm 6'5" and the ESMAX I bought for myself and it fits me great. My younger daughter is 10 and she has tried it and can ride it fine, but the LP80 fits her better and she is so light that she doesn't need suspension or non-solid tires or the 500w motor. I definitely need all three of those things and opted for the ESMAX over the LPMAX because of the air filled tires on the ESMAX. This is an awesome scooter and this price is insane. I paid a lot more last month even with a $40 coupon code.

Thanks for this info. The handlebars on my LP80 are a bit short (and I'm only 6'2).

Been waiting for the ESMAX to drop below $200 delivered (it was $199 after tax)!
