This box has No Balls. By Balls, I mean ball bearing drawer slides like the HF. I have a heavy 'machinist clamp set' in the HF box, and it's a breeze to use when heavily weighted. The Husky and most others use metal slots as drawer slides and don't work nearly as well. 'Shop Humor' has a good review on several of these boxes, including the $150 snap-on. I have the harbor freight one since they launched it and love it. Perfect toolbox for the kitchen counter. This Husky one looks like cheaper quality all around. It does have a latch and handle which the HF does not, but I don't think it is necessary on a box this small and those dinky latches break Everytime anyway. The HF box goes on sale all the time too. I got it for $13.

by comparison, the harbor freight one is a dollar cheaper, is 11 inches, and weighs 6.5 pounds ('shipping weight')

Doesn't come in pink like the Lowe's one though.

This item isn't available for Pickup online, but can still be purchased in-store.

I think that with these boxes, you should just go with your favorite brand. They are basically all the same thing, with that being said I bought this Husky for myself and I love it!

Idk it all depends on the store. Each store got about 30. Some of the stores near me are already down to half so YMMV on availability.

I bought a few of the Lowes ones simply because I could get something other than red or black

I bought the harbor freight version and it has ball bearing drawer slides (not in their product photos, but on all of the unit units I have seen in the store and in my shop!)

this guy knows what's up. afaik the harbor freight is the only one of these with ball bearing slides. and i'll add, if you're getting it as a gift, the ball bearing slides make it feel like a real toolbox.if you haven't used a real box, you might not appreciate it, but the recipient would if they use a real box regularly.

"um, no". these are much worse quality then the HF ones (no ball bearing slide, latching, etc.)

The Kobalt ones don't have a handle on top but it looks like the husky ones do which is a nice add for many.
