Definitely cheaper, more of a disposable flashlight. I'd prefer the HF for the extra cost, but on sale with coupon. Amazons crappy reviews don't help thier case.

Got those last year, alright for the money. Magnet is a joke, it barely sticks to metal and is easily knocked off if you accidentally hit it.

How many lumens? What is the battery capacity? Those are too important to skip out

What a poor post

Never a good sign when a lighting product doesn't appear to disclose the lumens anywhere obvious in the post.

The HF light will be on sale black Friday, if the leaked ads are to be believed. I don't have a link but watched a vid about it

The lights are 800 lumens per the listing. And yes, comments about the magnet not sticking. I wonder if the magnet could be replaced with something stronger?

Have and use these daily.
Complaints, wish they were USBC (these might be USBC) , they typically require a "small cast head" miniusb plug to fit into the the charge port, don't like it.
The cell inside is fairly anemic, replaced it with a high capacity 18650.
The tip cover is held on with stickers, and will peal falling off, so you have to glue it back on.
I wish it had a "hold button down" to turn off, you have to cycle through all the modes to turn it off.
It doesn't have a auto reset LVC cutoff. Once the device depletes and turns off mine won't turn back on, have to charge the cell and momentarily remove power via the internal wire to reset the chip. StupidAF if you leave it on...
Wish it had a auto off after ~2Hrs

Have not found a more versatile cheap flashlight.

They just make up whatever number they want. There's no way these do anywhere near 800.

I'd say it's about half as bright as the HF Braun lights. But it's $5 . You get what you pay for.

I would not buy these again. The hinge on light gets loose and weak and no longer holds the light up. Very sloppy. It also cannot be tightened, making the light mostly useless for its intended use.

Is the process of replacing the 18650 batteries straightforward or is it one of those products where you have to "break" into it to reach the battery. Then is it soldered in or does it use spring contacts? I have a ton of extra 18650 batteries laying around. So the cost would only be my time.

Hi, sorry about that. I now see the 800 lumens reference on the product page in the "Features & Specs" section, but it also lists the battery type as "1 AA batteries required. (included)," which I don't think is the case. Since the specs on the product page don't seem to be fully accurate, I decided to leave them out of the post rather than providing misleading or incorrect info. I didn't see the battery capacity mentioned anywhere.
