The Blade 14 is a compact OLED gaming laptop that stands out for portability, strong 1440p and 3K performance, and a well-balanced mix of speed and battery behavior for mixed use. The 32GB model looks like the safer long-term choice because the RAM is soldered, while the 14 inch form factor keeps it travel friendly. The main concerns are the 8GB RTX 5070, which may feel limiting for future games, AI work, or 4K ultra textures, and the smaller chassis can run warm with some fan noise. Weak speakers, flaky Wi Fi, and touchpad palm rejection also came up as real-world annoyances.

Someone tell me how this is getting more love than the MSI Stealth A16 AI+

MSI vs Razor
-RTX 5080 > RTX 5070
-16 GB VRAM > 8 GB VRAM
-16″ 240 Hz OLED > 14″ 120 Hz OLED
-Better sustained thermals > thinner, hotter design
-Ethernet port > no Ethernet port
-Slightly lower RAM speed (5600 MHz < 8000 MHz)
-Fewer USB-C ports < Razer's connectivity
I think folks looking for 14" don't typically cross-shop against 16". Also the Razer is aluminum IIRC vs magnesium alloy.

Isn't it true any gaming laptop that is 14' and thin going to get real hot? If so, that means the laptop probably gets bad easier? So gaming laptops should be bigger then especially with that type of graphics card?

Battery when web browsing and youtube? Since it's a ryzen and not intel, battery is very good still? Does the 5070 turn off by itself or you have to manually turn it off? What is the name of the regular graphics card similar to like the intel iris xe graphics on an intel processor? Is it that radeon one and which one?

I know OLED screen use lot of battery as it's very bright. If you have OLED, you can't turn it off right? So your laptop will always use a lot of battery?

The integrated gpu will automatically run if you are not gaming, saving battery. OLED is not as bright as LCD/IPS. It can use more power, but that was older generations. Typically in mixed use, especially gaming with dark backgrounds, or movies, you will actually use less power. A lot of non gaming thin notebooks with best in class battery life numbers use OLED displays. The 5070 is not a super demanding card, and there are plenty of power profiles to reduce heat and power without much performance drop. 14" gaming laptops have been around for a while now, and they seem to be lasting an okay length of time. No worse than bigger gaming laptops that push even more heat and power. The thing with these smaller laptops is you'll have to accept some degree of fan noise and warm chassis, more than the bigger laptops. It's the trade-off for a smaller portable laptop.

For $300 more, when you're already paying $1800, is nothing for the upgrades you'd get with the MSI

Because of portability and respectable gaming power genius?

You originally stated this as if they were the same price. Regardless, you'll always find a laptop that's cheaper, better, faster, better battery, etc

True, the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU only has 8 GB of GDDR7, but it's a next-gen Ada chip with much higher bandwidth and efficiency than older 8 GB cards. It easily handles 1440p and 3K gaming, which is what the Blade 14's screen is built for. 4K ultra textures would push past that, but for realistic use this setup stays fast, cool, and well-balanced.
It doesn't "easily handle" 1440p and 3k
Even at 1080p the 8gb of RAM are stretched to its limit to the potential of the 5070s power

So a laptop that has LED screen uses less battery than one with LCD or IPS? You are saying this uses less battery than a 1920x1200 dell xps screen then? I thought OLED always meant really bright so battery is always worst? What integrated processor does it use specifically?

If you want a laptop with a decent graphics card, how much better is a 5070 compared to 5050 and 5060? A 5050 is very basic right and 5060 is when it's considered decent? Then 5070 is when a good amount better. 5070ti is much better? Then 5080 and 5090 is the best right? For someone who does something where a graphics card might make it better, is this 5070 very good compared to say an older xps with 3050?

This isn't a good deal IMO. The Razer 14 is already overpriced to begin with so 33% off isn't that much of a deal. For instance I picked up the Asus G14 with similar specs 32gb RAM, 1TB HD but it comes with the 5070ti which is about 25% better than the regular 5070 and comes with 12gb VRAM as opposed to 8gb on this unit. As well I hear the Razer has a notoriously glossy screen vs the Asus which is more matte/semi-gloss. They've gone on sale as low as $1950 IIRC. It's definitely worth a few extra hundred dollars as it is a much more future proof device.
