Ninja changed the design on the pod adapter, switching from three, angled metal tubes which pierce the top of the pod to a single, wide, triangular needle. The old design worked fine (I used one for two years before it failed for a different reason). The new design seems to split the pod wide open and then somehow pressurizes and forces the grinds out and into your cup. 100% of my cups have about a tablespoon of grinds in them. Ninja seems to know about this issue, and you can find many reviews online. The solution is a new pod adapter, but they'll make you jump through hoops on a video call while they watch you clean it and brew additional cups of coffee - totally ridiculous. Then they said the pod adapters were out of stock and they would notify me via email when they became available, at which point I would have to pay shipping. Come on, Ninja - this is a design flaw which you know about and are trying to push onto your customers. This should be a recall. I'm 0-2 on these coffee makers and can't recommend them. Stay away until Ninja gets their act together.
There are other reviews with same complaint. Have they fixed this yet?
