I've also had mine for 7+ years making 4 coffees per day, every day. Seriously not a single hiccup ever with this machine.
Clean it once a month which is crazy easy and that's it. Prob one of the better designed and built things I own.

I used to have a youbrew Breville machine which I recently sold fully working. Worked for over 7 years, so I'd guess the quality/durability is good.

I upgraded to a fellow Aiden and the flavor is much better when you manually grind your own beans.

I guess these are good "entry level" machines focused on making it easy to brew.

the amount of brevilles i see on fb marketplace with "quality" issues is deeply concerning.

Has it always been like that? Maybe they were good when I bought mine 7 years ago and they are now cutting corners?

After some research I went with Bambino plus and Baratza ESP versus this. It was the same price for both. People online seem to think Baratza ESP is a better than this machine's grinder. Plus a personal fav after using the bambino plus is the automatic milk frother. OMG how helpful it is. Maybe not better than manual frothing, but more than adequate.

These are gorgeous machines. Have had mine over a year now, and it gets daily usage, and numerous runs per day.
When this thing dies, I will buy another exactly like it.

Great machine. I had mine for 11 years before selling it for around what I paid for it. Over the years I replaced the pump, safety value, and solenoid. All inexpensive, easy to replace parts. Upgraded to the Barista Touch. I would have gone the Bambino plus/Baratza option except for the lack of on-demand hot water from the Bambino.

I bought this model two years ago and have been very happy with it. The machine is solid and has worked flawlessly the entire time. The only maintenance needed is occasional cleaning when prompted.

I've had my Breville dual boiler for 7 years now and it's wonderful. Yes, there are occasional issues. Twice I've had to replace some O-rings and once I replaced the steam wand valve. Pretty easy machine to find parts for and work on.
I paid around $900 but a machine with similar features as the dual boiler would be at least $2k

Just for the record, the Bambino Plus should have hot water as an option. It's just a weird key combo. (Taken from the manual)

"Hot water through the steam wand: When machine is on 'ready mode', press 1 CUP and MILK FOAM buttons, and hot water flow will start through the steam wand. Press any button to stop hot water flow."
