I own several brand and if you must invest in Milwaukee. Don't get this old style roller.
If I start over I would go with Flex or ToughBuilt storage.

The lidded roller is annoying to use. Roller with drawer is a necessity, in fact drawers for all of them would be an improvement

Too easy to find these cheap on FB. Lots of contractors shifting to Klein, Flex, TB and Dewalt.

DeWalt Versastack drawers or Klein/Flex drawers are way better than lid style roller IMO. I spent a good deal at Lowe's and Home Depot putting together setups and Milwaukee ranked near the bottom of my list comparing price and design.

I love a lot of Milwaukee tools (power/handheld) but I agree, ToughBuilt storage is far superior to anything Milwaukee offers. I wish they'd get more exposer. ToughBuilt stuff is built to last.

Assuming it's quality for a reasonable price, wouldn't more exposure = them inflating their prices due new found popularity?

people are selling banged up boxes for $10 under new.

I still have a deal alert for this setup at $180 (Oct 2023). Should have just impulse bought back then lol.

Yep. The new rolling drawer is where it's at. It's a little heavier though since it still needs structure on the outside, AND it has the big drawer itself which is fairly stout.

I got one last week as part of the 'buy more, save more'. The drawer works surprisingly well.

They have drawer versions of all of the toolboxes. I bought a drawer roller along with a few other items yesterday and took advantage of the $150 off.

Edit: I went looking for the other items that I already had and found that they have a couple nice package deals. If they stack (pun intended) with the current Buy-more-save-more promo, this is a really good price:

3 drawer and 2 drawer, $245: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../321120592

3 drawer and deep organizer. $174: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../321120590

Best is Ridgid 2.0. I love that the wheels are separate and you can do drawers or anything else on the bottom

Is this more for mobile organization? I'm going to try and expand my home tool "collection" and I got a craftsman's 4 drawer. Not sure if this will benefit me and my garage.
Right now I just throw everything in the drawers. I don't have much so everything fits but the tools are heavy and the many different screws and bolt variants are starting to add up.

True, but RIDGID does not have the rails for accessories (which is nice).
Looking to make a modular setup in my garage vs. tool chests so that I can roll around the drawers to the car that I am working on or take to the junkyard.
I am thinking Milwaukee is still the best for that whether that be the rolling toolbox base + drawers -or- the rolling drawer base + more drawers up top.
I also like that Milwaukee has a dolly to use with the drawers for my garage repair needs.

Doesn't look like they bump you to the higher tier of $150 off but you still get the $50 off for the rolling drawer
