as an aside, harbor freight also sells this under their "Braun" name... more expensive right now, but regularly goes to $20 or less... i have one myself and it's pretty good. i use it in my shed.

Huh? 4 or 5k is best. 6500k that many of them are- are too blue.

Community Reviews

This 24 inch linkable LED shop light stands out for bright, compact garage or basement use, with 7000 lumens and a color temperature that lands in the 5000K to 6500K range. The light is described as working well in a shed, basement workshop, or on a work table, and the motion sensor can be bypassed or turned off for always on use. The main cautions are that the 2 foot size is smaller than the usual 4 foot shop light, and the motion sensing has been unreliable for some setups. Color quality and CRI are also uncertain, so it suits buyers who want lots of light more than perfect color rendering.

i dont see why not at 7000 lumens, but the motion sensor would make it inoperable for plant growing
You can turn off the motion detection and leave it on

Stated color temp is 5000 in the q&a but can't tell if it's got no yellow. I need shop lights for my huge barn and want to stay with pure white or bit blue rather than yellow, 5000-6000 is in the zone. Any want to chime in if these lights fit the bill?

An alternate choice is this one, which has more reviews and appears to have more ways to mount it.

Color temperature of the SUN is 5000k to 6500k. (depending on time of day) Your eyes have evolve to function optimally in that light. Dont use anyting else.

Received mine today . I think the bulb color works great for a basement workshop. It gives off a lot of light for its size . This is a good item for $20 and free shipping .

Be careful if you purchase the other one listed in this thread. Despite their website showing 5k, it's 4k. There's two different ones Farpoint and Strongway (this one). Both are $19.99

I noticed that too when I received my Farpoint lights. Fortunately I like a warmer light. Unfortunately the connection points were broken on two of the lights I ordered. NT is replacing those.

I believe the Harbor Freight light is only 4000k, FWIW

I am not ordering from this company again because returns are a PITA.
