It was a mistake for best buy to start allowing third party sellers like the other websites.

I have owned Flip 3, 4, 5, 6, all because of good trade-in deals. Flip 3 is the worst. The protective film started to bubble up within 3 months. Flip 5 is the second worst, the protective film lasted about 10 months. Flip 4 lasted a year without problem before I traded in. Flip 6 is working fine after over a year. The reliability is folding phone is improving, but by no means to a level comparable to non-folding phones.

I have had a Galaxy Z Fold 5 for over two years and it is the best phone I have ever owned. My wife also has had the Z Flip 5 for two years. She loves it. Neither one of us have had a single issue and we will both upgrade to newer Galaxy Fold phones in a few years. Samsung AI is useful also.

Community Reviews

The Galaxy Z Flip5 stands out for its compact foldable design, fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance, and a large 6.7 inch 120 hertz display when opened. Long term use reports point to solid day to day reliability for some, with the hinge and folding screen holding up well and Samsung AI adding useful features. The main cautions are the usual foldable risks, including screen film bubbling, battery wear, and occasional repair headaches. Cellfeee also gets mixed marks on grading, so condition may be worth checking closely. A distinctive foldable if you are comfortable with refurb risk.

Common Questions (4)

  • The folding design is still less durable than a standard slab phone, with reports of screen-film bubbling, screen replacements, and battery wear over time. Some units have run for years without issues, but the hinge and inner display remain the main risk points.

  • Mint refers to the phone color, not Mint Mobile service. The listing is for an unlocked Galaxy Z Flip5 sold and shipped by Cellfeee.

  • Yes, T-Mobile insurance may require an in-store inspection before coverage works, and the registration can be botched if the process is not documented. Filming the inspection is a practical safeguard in case the device is not registered correctly.

  • Cellfeee is described as a high-volume seller that can be good overall, but grading can be off and "mint" condition may not match expectations. That makes the return policy and your tolerance for cosmetic or condition surprises important.

It's an unfortunate reality - every retailer is trying to parrot Amazon's approach and turn their "store" into a "platform." It's an obvious win for them (and an obvious loss for consumers due to fakes, poor quality, and poor support).
Amazon is literally a flea market now. Others want a piece of the pie.

I own the exact same phone z flip 5 and the protective film on my screen hinge lasted over a year before bubbling up and being impossible to touch the screen. I love the form but I've had it with the film and also the terrible battery life I'm getting now. I'm looking at the iPhone air

What if you already have insurance will they still want in store inspection
Both my sons had these and my younger son got Samsung to replace his first one when the screen went black on the warranty, told him to pound sand when the replacement also bricked after 6 months. My older son didn't bother trying to get any relief under the warranty when his stopped working after 10 months and just bought himself an S21. Good for you and your wife, you're unicorns when it comes to this pos not bricking in a very short time.

Flip and fold phones are a godsend for planned obsolescence.

lot of people claiming they baby they phone or wife baby the phone honestly speaking I highly doubted people understand what it really means I have seen stuff specially nasty cars people claiming they take good care of it, personally I have no experience and don't want deal with warranty issues as I don't want to add dollars in terms of warranty for my already overpriced phone
