You sure? $280 is probably the 280AH battery vs this 50AH version.

This would be perfect raffle prizes for our ham club's Christmas party.

Bummer, limit 1 and I can't get the coupon to work.

LFP has WAY more useable AH's than lead acid. For ham use, and even lighting at the horse barn, it's so nice that the discharge voltage is relatively flat, and I don't have to religiously recharge the batts everytime I discharge them over a long period. That type of use kills lead acid quickly (a year or two).

Going to convert the golf cart here pretty soon as I'm tired of cleaning all the acid residue accumulating on the tops of the Trojan batteries every month. What a mess. (and these batts are only a year old).

Get a 24V battery, less hassle, unless you only have a 12V charger. Then you'll need to separate and charge batts separately, balance them in parallel before hauling them to the boat. Even with a 24V charger, two batteries will drift apart and become unbalanced, so easier to just get a 24V battery.

I agree with you but the reality is companies don't make small 24v batteries.
Nobody makes a 24v 25ah battery(comparable capacity) and the smallest 24v 50ah battery sells closer to $200.
2 of these is $132 and that's closer to the popular 12v 100ah prices.
You can find smaller 24v but they are usually expensive.
If anyone can find a 24v 50ah(same as a 12v 100ah) for under $150, LMK.

True...@24V your looking at 100AH, and those weigh 44#, according to spec:

edit: 12v 50AH paired weighs 25#.
