If I already spend 1k on a laptop, then I don't want somebody else's DNA all over it. I'd rather spend 100 dollars more. Just my opinion

At least say MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip.
The Air is OK but you can see where they cut cost to achieve the price point they sell it at.

Not trying to speak negatively about this deal or detract from it, but I believe getting the base model for $749.99 from Amazon [amazon.com] is probably a better deal all around for most people. If you need the storage, you can go with cloud storage or spend those extra $100 on a good 1TB external SSD drive.

Out of the box you only get 150gb usable, as apple intelligence, macOS data and application take the rest
