I'm not sure if I'm doing my American math correctly but, I think, this ends up being pretty close to the same amount filament as a 1kg spool for $4 which is a good price. Though of course this isn't really usable in a 3d printer either so silly to compare (even though you can use the filament the other way around).

In short I grabbed one to use for repairs and fillers 😁

I'd say no way to that math. These doodler pens chew through filament. I could see that pack being gone after 1 class project (schools typically use these). Also, that's the Start+ which does not get as hot as other models and cannot melt normal PLA. So you wouldn't be able to use regular filament with these.

Hmmm, now I'm wondering if these will work in my 3d pen. It's a sunlu and meant for regular PLA (or even abs) so maybe gets too hot for these. I'll have to check if it's possible to manually adjust the heat on mine.

If you already have a 3d printer, I think just using leftover filament scraps is a better option. If you are using a 3d pen only, this might be a good option.
