Roborock currently holds an "F" rating on BBB, citing dozens of complaints about failure to respond. On Trustpilot, their global TrustScore is as low as ~1.5 out of 5 in many markets, reviewers frequently say their units malfunction while still under warranty, and support is slow and unhelpful.
They have so many models it's hard to know what is a good deal. I have an older model S6 MaxV, was thinking about moving that one upstairs and getting a self& emptying model for downstairs. Anyone have this and happy with it? I don't use the mop feature on mine so don't need that

If you only need the vacuum, buy a Dreame D20 pro. It goes on sale for $260 and is the best vacuum for under a grand. Mop sucks. Don't even install. But keeps my rugs and tile floors spot free of pet hair. Two Border Collies, a Lab, and a cat.
It runs great lines and never misses a spot.

i got a few roboroc 5pro s last year and they have all worked fine for me personally they were definitely a step up from wyze ones i fist used .... note im cheap and will only buy in the $100-$200 range tho lol

Unless you are looking for auto-empty, none of these are an upgrade over an S6 MaxV. The MaxV has the (albeit) earlier version of obstacle avoidance and the bristle brushes. It's still very much a great vacuum. To me, the next upgrade would be an auto-empty/auto-mop unit with the spinning discs.
In general the S line is the step up from the Q, but it can vary because of how many models.
(I've got an S5 Max, S6 MaxV, Q7 Max (auto empty dock), Q8Max and a Q Revo S)
