With how much RAM prices have increased lately this is basically like getting the motherboard for $20-$30. Nice find.

I guess Ram prices are crashing down. The Flare X5 32GB 6000 CL36 DDR at MC went from $399 to $199. Still overpriced, but not as bad as it was.

Assuming you are looking a budget build the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X seems like a good option. There are some cheaper options but none really seem cheap enough to justify the differences. The 9600x isn't really much faster and the jump up to 8 core cpus is still pretty big jump in price and costs more per core than the 6 core options so less performance per $ even if things to scale perfectly.

Damn yea was looking for a cheaper option. I'd be coming from a 3600 and looks like going to a 7600x wouldn't be worth it even though it's ddr5

If you are looking for a bigger jump in gaming performance your best bet is a x3D chip but those aren't going to be cheap. For more general performance and things like rendering and encoding you can probably jump up to any 12 or 16 core chip for a big boost and even Intel generally does pretty good there. Those are all going to be a more expensive upgrade.
