Why all the deals with low speed and high CAS? Does nobody want them for AI centers?

AI loves fast ram above quantity when you have enough quantity.

What is 850-E? I'm not seeing much on that in my research. Did they update that chipset recently?

I was trying to find out the same thing. I read in one place that the -E version is a little more budget friendly. Take that with a grain of salt

(Agreed with another poster; for 870, the E is a mild enhancement; not so for 850)

-E isn't budget; -E is a mild refresh with mildly enhanced capabilities vs non-E model.
I don't see any B850-E on that page. I know the difference between E and Non-E, but isn't it weird there's nothing about B850-E?

As I look more into it most people on Reddit are saying it means nothing. The E is just part of the model name. Anyway I purchased this one instead of the gigabyte gaming X wifi6E, same price but free ram.

I do think it has PCIE 5.0, which is what the "E" in X870E and B650E usually denotes. It's just a weird clusterf*** of branding on AM5 boards which has been a problem.

Asus decided to make it the model name even though it's just not supposed to be modified as a chipset label.
