Never needed it until now. You should do some homework to look at design or manufacturing flaws with a particular model. The M2 macbook airs had issues with the audio board that kept it from booting up when it died. I had to pay $200 for apple to fix it after it past warranty, but they also replaced the battery. The only other time my mac died was a mac mini under warranty when the OS major update killed the motherboard. But most of the time, I didn't ever use Applecare when I had it. As a general statement, Apple does a pretty good job not perfect with QC.

agreed. got college kids M4s earlier this year... plastic snap on case. Had them on their M1s, they look new.

price match takes 5 minutes over chat. I price matched a base M4 mini for $450 and base M4 Mini pro for $999... not a problem. I made them match micro Center. easier if you have a free account at BB. Have the links and a CC ready. I had them shipped for free. easy peasy.

Doubtfull if it will be $700... and could be MONTHS before it comes out. What are you coming from? M4 was the first BIG jump in M chips. M1/M2?M3 were 10-15% jumps each, M4 took a huge jump, and introduced the 16 GB base ram. They fly. We have 3 "base" M4 macs -- mini, 13" and 15" MBAs, all coming from similar M1s -- everything is much snappier.

I wouldn't buy it. Have a macbook from 12 years & working just fine. I am about to get a new MacBook. Just be careful with it laptop like how you are with your phone. Many people forget to read the fine print or complete terms & conditions of the apple care. They think you bought it & can have it repaired for free for as many times in a year. No. It doesn't work that way. It's like an insurance, it has deductible for each visit. And as I was reading it for iPhone, you can only have it repaired for 3 times in a year. Reading full fine print Will open your eyes.

Can't find a 1TB MacBook Air anywhere. Neither BB, Costco or Amazon have that qualify for this deal. Anyone have any experience with Apple price matching and adding another $200 to upgrade the laptop?
