Sure, knowing is one thing, but in good enough relationship to get them to buy (or give access to the website) is yet another subset of that. They have to also be bother enough to register on the site and register. Almost the same as all the Micro Center deals...

Debating if it's worth spending 365+ tax to bump my MBA M2 8GB (Trade in value $385) to this MBA M4 16GB ... I don't really have any issues with how I am using M2 today ..

On Amazon it is 5% prime +1% (No rush Amazon day shipping) +5% prime young adult, so the 2% exe + 2% citi in Costco is not a big deal comparatively. Free refund/return until 15th Jan, so literally not a big deal going with Costco without Costco giving extras for holiday season. And the worst part with Costco is tax is calculated on MSRP not the discounted price.

No brainer upgrade IMO. That's a generous trade in amount for an 8GB device.

Not just CA most states do tax. Tax is dependent on how the sale is discount vs manufacturer coupon,... Tax is state dependent not the stores but that doesn't mean we generalize it either case.
