This Ryobi 18V six tool kit is a strong value for typical home projects, especially with two batteries and a charger included for under $200. The drill, impact driver, circular saw, and other core tools are described as plenty capable for DIY use, and the battery life has been enough for small jobs. The main weak spots are the oscillating tool, which has weak power and a fiddly blade lock, and the 5.5 inch circular saw blade, which limits thicker cuts. It is a practical starter set with broad tool variety.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. The price is repeatedly described as hard to beat because it includes six tools plus two batteries and a charger, and several buyers say the kit is worth more than buying the drill and impact driver separately. It is also seen as a strong way to get into the Ryobi ecosystem.
Yes. It covers the typical around-the-house jobs and is described as perfectly fine for DIY homeowners; brushless is mainly framed as a pro-level upgrade. The drill and driver are considered comparable in power to 12V brushless tools for basic use.
The biggest complaints are the oscillating tool, which has a weak motor and awkward Allen-key blade lock, and the included blades wearing out quickly. The 5-1/2-inch circular saw blade is also limiting for thicker wood, and some buyers dislike that the kit counts the LED light as one of the six tools.
The included 1.5 Ah and 4.0 Ah batteries are reported to be enough for small projects without needing a recharge, and original batteries can still work years later. That makes the kit practical for intermittent home use rather than all-day heavy work.
The kit includes an LED light that some see as filler for the tool count, but it can still be useful around the house. One long-term owner specifically says the flashlight tool has been surprisingly useful.

Kit is definitely worth the price of admission. The drill and driver bought separately can easily run you for $80-120, so a little more and you've got more tools than you'll likely need, but never know when things could come in handy. Like when we needed to do some pruning and breaking down some low branches in our backyard and the circular saw came in super-handy and made things easy. Probably not the right tool for the job, but it worked pretty damn well, so I'm not complaining lol
Made by the same company that makes Milwaukee tools. These are quality pieces that will last you many many years of projects.

Hercules tools are better but at this price I'd get into the ryobi ecosystem.
Looks like retailers are trying to drum up sales in a sh*t economy.
