Back in May I bought a 15 Pro for $520 renewed from a seller that had a 98% satisfaction. It was in the very good condition that was listed. Check the sellers satisfaction before purchasing. Plus you can always find something to return it for if it is not as described. Downside is you have no idea what the battery health or cycles are on the device.

I thought Amazon doesn't allow any 3rd parties to sell apple products.

from my experience, only buy renew if it ship and sold by Amazon. 3rd party is hit and missed, not worth the saving. renew premium has 1 yr return policy, so it's alright, just a big hassle of return, getting new phone, transfer data, etc.

You'd have to be the dumbest person alive to not spend $75 more and get a new iPhone 17.

You are not wrong about the logic of getting iphone 17 over this for 75 bucks more, but do you really need to say dumbest person alive? You don't know the circumstances of the people who are buying this. Maybe they need to long distance camera? Maybe they need bigger size iphone like my mom. Be considerate and courteous. We don't know what we don't know.

@Thinker you see? 'a seller' is not equal to Amazon itself, as far as I can see.

you can downvote this 'deal'. i honestly am not impressed.
all this 'renewed' stuff - premium-schmemium - is a hit or miss. plus exactly as others say unpredictable battery health, non-genuine replacement parts etc.

Bought a few Amazon renewed phones and for the price it's okay. It's really good if you just need a cheap iPhone like a 13 pro for a few hundred bucks. The good thing is the returns are usually hassle free.

Also the 17 is sold out so it's a few weeks to ship many times.

Not always. I got an iPhone 14 renewed premium and it was basically new. Not a single scratch, 100% battery. I'm on it right now and it's only depletes to 65-75% by the end of the day, everyday with moderate use. For about 40% off that I got it was an excellent buy.

The phone is returnable for a year. Better than new that way

I don't think someone in the market for a Pro Max is going to settle for just a regular iPhone. The equivalent 17 Pro Max is an additional $375.
