Amazon Renewed Premium iPhone 15 Pro Max deals can deliver near new phones at a lower price, with some arrivals showing clean cosmetics and battery health around 93 to 100 percent. The listing is fulfilled by Amazon, and the one year return, refund, or replacement policy adds some protection if the phone is not as described. The main concerns are inconsistent condition, uncertain battery health and cycle count, and possible third party involvement on renewed listings. A solid option if the savings matter more than absolute certainty.
people who want a cheaper iPhone and are okay with "hit-or-miss" renewed condition because Amazon Renewed phones are described as "okay" for the price and good if you just need a low-cost iPhone (like a 13 Pro) for a few hundred bucks.
buyers who are willing to rely on Amazon's fulfillment and use the return window because one commenter says "only buy renew if it ship and sold by Amazon," and that Renew Premium includes a 1-year return policy even though returns can be a hassle.
buyers who can tolerate not knowing exact battery cycle count because a commenter reports their renewed iPhone was listed as "very good" and advises checking seller satisfaction and using returns if it isn't as described, while noting you can't know battery health/cycle count ahead of time.
people who want a large storage iPhone and are comfortable with reported battery health numbers because one buyer says the 1TB Renewed Premium arrived "pretty much brand new" with battery health reported at 93%.
buyers who are trying to avoid third-party renewed inventory because commenters warn that Amazon renewed iPhones can be "trashed" and sold by third parties, and they also say "a seller" isn't necessarily Amazon itself.
buyers who need reliable battery health from day one because multiple commenters call renewed "hit or miss" and specifically mention unpredictable battery health (and even non-genuine replacement parts).
buyers who want to minimize the hassle of returns because even though Renew Premium has a 1-year return policy, a commenter says returns are a "big hassle" involving getting a new phone and transferring data.
Battery health is not guaranteed and can vary widely, with some renewed phones arriving near 100% and others around 93% or lower. The battery cycle count is not visible, so checking seller satisfaction and using the return window if the condition is off is important.
This listing is fulfilled by Amazon, not a third party. That matters because third-party renewed iPhones are described as inconsistent, while Amazon-sold Renewed Premium listings include a 1-year return/refund/replacement policy.
Yes. Some renewed phones have arrived cracked or trashed, while others have been essentially new with no scratches, so condition can vary a lot even within Renewed Premium.
Yes, Renewed Premium includes a 1-year return/refund/replacement policy. The practical downside is that returns can be a hassle because you may need to send the phone back, get a replacement, and transfer your data again.
My family and I have bought five phones this way. Three arrived with cracks, but we returned them right away, no problem. The rest have absolutely no issues.
I bought the 1TB renewed during Prime Day and it was pretty much brand new. Battery health is 93%
A 93% battery health on a Pro Max phone equates to 1+ years of heavy use. My 16 Pro Max (bought Dec 2024), that's charged every night from 30% to full, is at 100% battery health

Interesting, and how do you know this?
I guess maybe it does make sense, since my 14 Pro Max battery is at 83% and I have to charge it twice a day with mild to moderate usage.

You are not wrong about the logic of getting iphone 17 over this for 75 bucks more, but do you really need to say dumbest person alive? You don't know the circumstances of the people who are buying this. Maybe they need to long distance camera? Maybe they need bigger size iphone like my mom. Be considerate and courteous. We don't know what we don't know.
For the price difference between a regular iPhone and the Pro a person can buy a nice dedicated telephoto camera - Apple messed up their pricing with the latest Pro phone line. Hence, they advertise it as crazy all over and fund carrier deal packages with the Pro.
Same here - buy a regular iPhone 15/16 and IF you need a telephoto - use your dedicated telephoto camera which very likely will have better telephoto optics and photo quality anyway. I am a big supporter of a nice camera capability in a phone, but that has a price ceiling beyond which it makes no financial sense.
The Pro line appealed to business customers when corporately expensed up to $1000. Beyond that is a dead sale - due to expense policies, recent high tech layoffs (aka budgetary changes) etc. corporate environment.

Agree about cost. But for most people, even myself (an avid photographer, former professional) the phone is the main camera. I still have a nice camera, but I don't take it on trips, especially these days with how the airlines upcharge for everything. I travel as light as possible, which means no extra camera with chargers and cables etc.
'I'll only buy a phone with a telephoto camera, which limits to mainly expensive iPhone "pro" and Samsung unfortunately.

I thought Amazon doesn't allow any 3rd parties to sell apple products.
This definitely not the case. There's a lot of sellers on their "Amazon renewed" section not always apparent. Also, not all phones have the year warranty stated here, some only have 90 days.

With similar deal not long ago for Mac Studio, Amazon shipped brand new Macs, factory sealed.
