Amazon Renewed Premium iPhone 15 Pro Max deals can deliver near new phones at a lower price, with some arrivals showing clean cosmetics and battery health around 93 to 100 percent. The listing is fulfilled by Amazon, and the one year return, refund, or replacement policy adds some protection if the phone is not as described. The main concerns are inconsistent condition, uncertain battery health and cycle count, and possible third party involvement on renewed listings. A solid option if the savings matter more than absolute certainty.
people who want a cheaper iPhone and are okay with "hit-or-miss" renewed condition because Amazon Renewed phones are described as "okay" for the price and good if you just need a low-cost iPhone (like a 13 Pro) for a few hundred bucks.
buyers who are willing to rely on Amazon's fulfillment and use the return window because one commenter says "only buy renew if it ship and sold by Amazon," and that Renew Premium includes a 1-year return policy even though returns can be a hassle.
buyers who can tolerate not knowing exact battery cycle count because a commenter reports their renewed iPhone was listed as "very good" and advises checking seller satisfaction and using returns if it isn't as described, while noting you can't know battery health/cycle count ahead of time.
people who want a large storage iPhone and are comfortable with reported battery health numbers because one buyer says the 1TB Renewed Premium arrived "pretty much brand new" with battery health reported at 93%.
buyers who are trying to avoid third-party renewed inventory because commenters warn that Amazon renewed iPhones can be "trashed" and sold by third parties, and they also say "a seller" isn't necessarily Amazon itself.
buyers who need reliable battery health from day one because multiple commenters call renewed "hit or miss" and specifically mention unpredictable battery health (and even non-genuine replacement parts).
buyers who want to minimize the hassle of returns because even though Renew Premium has a 1-year return policy, a commenter says returns are a "big hassle" involving getting a new phone and transferring data.
Battery health is not guaranteed and can vary widely, with some renewed phones arriving near 100% and others around 93% or lower. The battery cycle count is not visible, so checking seller satisfaction and using the return window if the condition is off is important.
This listing is fulfilled by Amazon, not a third party. That matters because third-party renewed iPhones are described as inconsistent, while Amazon-sold Renewed Premium listings include a 1-year return/refund/replacement policy.
Yes. Some renewed phones have arrived cracked or trashed, while others have been essentially new with no scratches, so condition can vary a lot even within Renewed Premium.
Yes, Renewed Premium includes a 1-year return/refund/replacement policy. The practical downside is that returns can be a hassle because you may need to send the phone back, get a replacement, and transfer your data again.
Back in May I bought a 15 Pro for $520 renewed from a seller that had a 98% satisfaction. It was in the very good condition that was listed. Check the sellers satisfaction before purchasing. Plus you can always find something to return it for if it is not as described. Downside is you have no idea what the battery health or cycles are on the device.

from my experience, only buy renew if it ship and sold by Amazon. 3rd party is hit and missed, not worth the saving. renew premium has 1 yr return policy, so it's alright, just a big hassle of return, getting new phone, transfer data, etc.

You'd have to be the dumbest person alive to not spend $75 more and get a new iPhone 17.
You are not wrong about the logic of getting iphone 17 over this for 75 bucks more, but do you really need to say dumbest person alive? You don't know the circumstances of the people who are buying this. Maybe they need to long distance camera? Maybe they need bigger size iphone like my mom. Be considerate and courteous. We don't know what we don't know.

@Thinker you see? 'a seller' is not equal to Amazon itself, as far as I can see.

you can downvote this 'deal'. i honestly am not impressed.
all this 'renewed' stuff - premium-schmemium - is a hit or miss. plus exactly as others say unpredictable battery health, non-genuine replacement parts etc.
Bought a few Amazon renewed phones and for the price it's okay. It's really good if you just need a cheap iPhone like a 13 pro for a few hundred bucks. The good thing is the returns are usually hassle free.
Also the 17 is sold out so it's a few weeks to ship many times.
beware of amazon renew iphone, they are trashed sold by 3rd party
Not always. I got an iPhone 14 renewed premium and it was basically new. Not a single scratch, 100% battery. I'm on it right now and it's only depletes to 65-75% by the end of the day, everyday with moderate use. For about 40% off that I got it was an excellent buy.

The phone is returnable for a year. Better than new that way
