I don't play games but I need a new office monitor. Would this be good for my use case? I like that it's 1440p for clear text, but I guess refresh rate is not important for me, right?

In my opinion the pixel density of 27in on a 2k screen like this is ideal for office work. You don't have to mess with text size scaling or anything because native resolution is just about right for my 42 yo eyes. The refresh doesn't matter, but IPS panel definitely does for best viewing angles.
I went ahead and bought this. I borrowed 32"LG 4k panels from my office for work from home, but I decided that 64 inches of real estate is too much, and gaming on the recreational time is annoying with a native 4k panel that hates changing resolutions. I'll use this as my be primary and have my two MAG27Cs on the left and right.
The reviews on this panel sound good for a no frills display. Some of the dead pixel reviews on Newegg are disheartening, but for the price I'm going for it.
