In all seriousness this was in good condition and great for use in getting stains out and getting built up gunk out without using chemicals

Im in the same situation. I wonder if they will take the old one without a hose so we can keep it for use with this model?

I disagree…ive owned a unit like this for at least five years and only use the hose a handful of times.
In most situations the hose is even more inconvenient because you need two hands to use it.
I usually just use the steamshot in one hand and a brush in the other hand.
