In for one with the two-year $79 insurance. It's a lot of money but these batteries are $129 each so three batteries I already have the RC2 controller. This is the most money I ever spent for a drone so I'll be very careful with it.

I just bought one the drone alone. And with the battery alone with mini sd im getting 252g should i return it? And gamble again?

Just a FYI if you purchased the DJI care one they may not be able to honor it with everything that's been going on with the government

Correction: the app was updated DO NOT BUY THIS… if you're in the US. The basic controller requires your smartphone and use of the DJI Fly app. That app does not support the Mini 5 in the US. If you have the RC2 (screen) controller, then it will work. I know from experience.

Thats incorrect this controller still works ( i live in the US) with the dji mini 5 pro and the app identifies through your tablet or phone and firmware availability works too. I bought the stand alone drone (mini 5 + Controller) and it works. But im returning it since it weighs 252g.

I went with the RC2 combo for 1099. I don't dislike the phone setup per se, but just seems easier and quicker with the RC2.
