I think there was an announcement that 153k jobs were lost in October. if that many people lost jobs then they aren't splurging on vacations. decreased demand means lower prices so higher sales. At least thats the assumption.

Almost all cruise "deals" are gimmicks.
I have cruised NCL and enjoy it. But their marketing is the same as the rest- perpetual "time limited" promos that almost always net out to the same price. percent off and Bogo offers are perpetual
Use a third party cruise search engine/price tracker.

the bigger promos with NCL are when they offer double or triple up with their CruiseNext program. they've also offered bonus loyalty points at times.
there is a triple up right now:

I see what you're saying. Interesting. So you're saying they'll be a better deal than Black Friday?

How often do double or triple up promos happen? Does it work on any cruise as long as it's balcony or higher and 6 nights or longer? I went on an NCL cruise recently and ended up going for CN credit after multiple other cruisers talked me into it. Seems like an easy discount with few strings attached. Would be an insane deal to stack this with myVegas rewards. I'm just hoping there's a 2nd passenger discount coming that I can stack too.

I don't track it, but I'd guess every couple of months. Double ups are more frequent, triple ups are a few times per year. Usually requires balcony & 6+ nights, but sometimes those requirements are waived. For anyone else interested in CruiseNext deal aspect- there is a Facebook group of people buying & selling AT value (ie pay $125 for a $250 credit), just be sure to vet your seller

Checked their Alaska cruises out of Seattle - definitely not on sale. As always, cruise sale announcements are BS by cruise companies. I've been getting daily emails from Celebrity for 75% off cruise fares for the past several years. None of those savings are real. Sorry, not a deal.

Yup - I have followed them for about a year / all promos are roughly worded differently but net the same +\~ $50/$100
There is no magical 50% here ! - double and triple up are def good IF YOU HAVE cruise next credits ahead of time / however YOUR BEST BET IS trying an Agent like cruise.com or vacationstogo they can easily knock off $100-$200 or throw in some freeebies. / but other wise all RCL CARNIVAL CELEBRITY NCL - all " timely promo " are eventually the same for total pricing. I am frequent cruiser so I do keep an eye for this things *

Here is two super bonus for you

1- gratuities should never be prepaid incase there is any changes to your trips- and they are NOT MANDATORY- they can be cancelled on the last day of cruise at the desk without ANY. Reason !

2- the big 3 public listed cruise lines if submit proof of share ownership 20 days before sail date you get extra $100 on board per room credit ! " shareholder credit " is a real thing !

Lastly check w few agents for same sailing some may be able to offer deep discounts because they have a larger batch of rooms to sell… we just booked one trip 8 people- 2 balcony rooms for 12 a night sailing for less then $3500 total out of pocket with $300 on board credit and 300 min free wifi. Good enough to check quick work emails. Good luck.

[QUOTE=offbeat;180011365]153K jobs lost in September, just reported this morning.

The loss of government jobs traditionally increases consumer demand. The jobs lost to AI are real job losses. The jobs lost to DOGE cuts will be a net positive.

The private sector had a net increase of 42,000 jobs in October.

Cruise demand is at an all time high. I just saw OP's post, and have not booked yet, but will be checking the prices. (Looking at some of the post, this sale may not be much of a sale)

The pricing strategy lately for the Cruise industry has been "early buyers get better deals".

You may want to check out Carnival Cruises, they have an excellent per day price point.

Hope this helps.

I just checked what the requirement is for royal Caribbean stock ownership to get the hundred dollar credit. You do need to own 100 shares minimum. Currently trading around $200 per share.

I never knew about shareholder credit. Wonder what the requirements are and if all cruises offer it. I got some Disney shares but also 500+ stock in Norwegian and carnival.
