This is a 4 line T Mobile Essentials promo that pairs four iPhone 17s with about $100 a month for 24 months, best for families willing to port in and keep all lines active. The strongest upside is the phone value, with no trade in required and Costco or Sam's Club sometimes adding activation fee waivers and gift cards. Taxes, fees, and device taxes still apply, and some orders hit down payments or higher first bills. Port in rules are strict, with prepaid, MVNO, recent T Mobile, and non qualifying numbers often rejected, so the fine print matters.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. The promo requires all 4 lines to be ported in; new lines alone do not qualify. Several comments also say T-Mobile treats prepaid T-Mobile/Mint/Metro-style numbers differently, so eligibility depends on the source carrier and port-in rules.

  • The advertised $100/month is before taxes, fees, and surcharges. Reported totals range from about $120 to $135/month depending on location, with examples including roughly $5 per line in taxes/fees and a $3.99 per-line recovery fee plus 911 and USF charges.

  • Not reliably. Keep & Switch and Family Freedom are separate pay-off programs, and the no-trade iPhone promo is often treated as a different offer; commenters were told the two may not stack, especially for existing-customer or winback situations.

  • No. The device credits are spread over 24 months, and paying off the phone or canceling a line early can stop the remaining credits. If you drop the 4th line, the remaining device balance still has to be paid and the promo can be re-evaluated.

  • It includes hotspot only in a very limited form: commenters describe unlimited 3G hotspot, with optional high-speed hotspot add-ons. The plan is also repeatedly described as deprioritized, so speeds can be slow when the network is busy.

Free action if you get this deal at Sam's Club or Costco. 75$ per line Costco gift card as well. Sam's deal also includes Sam's gift cards for about the same amount.
Thanks for the tip. Do you have a link or number for the costco option? I'd like to do this in the next few days.

A couple days ago, I ported in 4 lines from AT&T, at the Costco T-Mobile booth, no trade in, we got $1000 credit towards each IPhone 17 Pro and each line also will receive a $250 visa gift card and a $200 Costco gift card. We also got a 20% discount on the the top service plan (Beyond) Total cost per phone, service and taxes is about $39.25 a month for 24 months, or $942 total cost each line.
Did you end up with all the gc's? Wondering how long that is available for.

Can I get this deal via Costco?
please note the (Keep & Switch) has a fine print. It is not valid for prepaid carriers like MINT T-Mobile Prepaid and Metro by T-Mobile, free Google Voice services, and all MVNOs using T-Mobile's network . Port-in must be from Verizon, AT&T, UScellular, Claro, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, or Liberty (Puerto Rico).

It is some BS, all these companies do great deals for new customers but their existing customers get not even half the deal, I mean really?
That's why I switched to Mint...Tmobile charged me $65 monthly

I have T-mobile now, but this offer looks good to me. How can I make use of it? Can we port the number to a different network for few days and then port to T-mobile? Please help and thank you πŸ™πŸΌ
T-Mobile focuses on getting new lines in but once in they don't care unless you have a very expensive plan

I referred a family to T-Mobile from MetroPCS. Yesterday, we were told they were eligible and fully qualified. Today, after providing the account number and PIN to proceed with the port-in, we were told they are not eligible because they are coming from MetroPCS.

This is extremely frustrating and reflects poor customer service. Each agent provides different information, and it feels misleading. I expressed my disappointment and made it clear that this experience has been unacceptable. Because of this, I regret referring anyone and will not be referring others in the future.
