If you have nothing keeping you on (like bill credits), port out to Tello, then port back in. I've done this a couple times with good results.

Believe you would need to port out for 90 days and then come back as a new customer.

You can always wait for the Google Fi deal for unlimited at ~$12.50 if you port in four lines. $50 for four lines of unlimited everything, 50GB high speed prioritized, 25GB hotspot is crazy

wait why was the Metro iPhone 16e deal thread merged with this iPhone 17 T-mobile one?
My original post and title had the Metro 16e deal listed. This was a week ago when T-Mobile announced its holiday deals press release, including the MVNO brands they own. I think the mods merged the dedicated thread created today for the Metro 16e deal, thinking it was a duplicate. Staff has full control over the OP and title in redesigned/mobile view on SD so can't change it on my end.

There is another thread dedicated to the Metro iPhone 16e deal if they somehow cannot un-merge the posts.

Back to the original deal - 4 lines and 4 iPhone 17 for $100 a month for 2 years.

Is my math correct? Thats about $2,400 total (plus tax, etc) - just buying the 4 phones would cost $3,200 (approx $800 each). So you're basically getting 4 iphones 17 for less than retail, then basically free phone service for 2 years?

Right now we have 3 lines on Spectrum (paying $60 a month) but my daughter and I both need a new phone so this might be a good deal for us.

Mods need to separate the T-Mobile and metro deal threads - they're completely different. This just confuses everyone.
This merge makes absolutely no sense. Now those who interested in iPhone 16e has to sift through the iPhone 17 posts and vice versa.

Any reason to not have iphone 16e trade-in value published by Apple?

My understanding is Apple doesn't do trade-ins on current models, and since there is no 17e, the 16e is the current "budget" model.

Current trade-in values for cash from online shops (from browsing flipsy) is pretty weak - less than $200. Probably best to use the phone for upgrade deals.
you'd think Apple would offer at least $300 in GC initially

Would have thought so but with current prices so low, idk anymore. I wouldn't get this planning to trade in to apple - IMO not worth the work. But I would get this for upgrade purposes.

When is starlink happening? I heard rumors of this
Starlink on United? Definitely not rumours, they actively show it on United's website, and they've already started retrofitting airplanes, though it will take a couple of years to get through their entire fleet.

If you're talking about Starlink launching their own cellular service? That is rumour, however.... they're starting to buy up companies essentially just for their spectrum already, so I would imagine in the next few years, and I hope they utterly wreck all of these legacy carriers.
