You can do it with any other t-mobile plan by creating the account/lines without ordering phones and then "upgrading" at an apple store. That's what I ended up doing for multiple reasons. Unfortunately, while I was porting my lines to t-mobile, I had google fi beforehand and transferring my lines didn't qualify for any of the rebates (like the costco one or the AAA one or the one through my employer's benefits website). Likewise, t-mobile had a 1 month wait for the iphone my brother wanted while I was able to get one at an apple store that week.
I just rolled the dice. I have cricket and ported 4 lines. We shall see how this plays out….
Google fi is complete shit in my area.
