My aunt passed away recently and she collected tins, butter cookie tins included. We went through the incredible variety she had, and some of the surprise contents. The ziploc bag of yesteryear.

I haven't had these since I was a kid and my grandmother would get them all the time. They are ok, but I'm not really a fan and find Walkers to be so so much better.

I don't really think Walkers are much different to be honest. I have had both. As far as this brand (Royal Dansk) well I've had these at least seven or eight tins deep in my lifetime and what makes them well worth the money to me is that the ingredients are all wholesome and they're all free of chemicals and pesticides and herbicides and fungicides and genetics manipulation because all of the ingredients are from Europe and follow strict regulations and the butter they're made with is vastly superior to any American butter you can buy because the cows are normal free-range and feed in beautiful conditions on pristine grounds in Europe and they're also made in a very traditional way with no corners cut and the quality control is absolutely perfect because they actually care about the end product and the traditional values and practices and it's just very worth the low money and super good value you're getting because these are imported European cookies and on a premium level for what I just described all together. plus you get the tin and that's worth something and the more tens you have the more they're all worth something combined because they stack on each other perfectly and save tons of vertical space. I have four of these tins stacked on each other what all types of crap inside of them and they don't take up more than maybe 10 in in height all combined.

The vast majority of Royal Dansk butter cookies are produced in Denmark. Kelsen Group, the company that owns Royal Dansk, maintains production facilities in Nørre Snede, Denmark, where they uphold the traditional baking methods and quality standards associated with the brand. This commitment to Danish production is a crucial aspect of maintaining the authenticity and heritage that Royal Dansk is known for. While Denmark remains the primary production location, Kelsen Group also utilizes facilities outside of Denmark to meet global demand. However, the core production and most significant volumes still originate from Danish factories. This ensures that the iconic taste and texture that consumers expect from Royal Dansk are consistently delivered, regardless of where the cookies are ultimately purchased.
