Bulls just dropped a stellar deal on their Bosch Copperhead Evo HD 750 Bosch Bike. Was $4499 Now $1999. This uses the new Bosch Smarts System and had front suspension. This might just be the best Black Friday deal on an eBike I've seen yet!

Community Reviews

The Bulls Copperhead Evo HD 750 is a Bosch Class 1 hardtail e mountain bike built for climbing, range, and all around trail use. The Bosch CX Smart motor is rated at 85 newton meters, and the 750 watt hour battery is described as huge for long rides. The setup also gets praise for a good motor, an air fork, and a better derailleur, with Bosch service support available through a broad dealer network. The main caveat is fit and use case, since the mountain bike geometry and wide bars can feel aggressive on long rides, and Class 1 assistance tops out at 20 miles per hour.

Is this considered a mountain bike or a road bike? Based on the suspension, it looks like it's a mountain bike

You could use it for either but with the current tire set up, I'd say more of a hardtail mountain bike.

It's Class 1, so it tops out at 20mph

This Bulls Copperhead Evo HD 750 or the Specialized Turbo Tero 3.0? Both are $1,999.

I'm looking to buy my first e-bike, so this is all new to me.

Hey is it ok for me to answer my question within the same post as I asked my own question. Yes it appears so.

If I were you, find a local Specialized dealer and take a ride. Plus if you buy it from the local dealer, they will set it up for you, fit it for you and support the bike for you (which is a huge help), especially if it's your first e-bike. Class 1 isn't fast, and it doesn't have a big battery, but it will help you climb hills easier, and keep you riding longer.

Bulls has a better derailur, air fork (bulls brand, I'm not sure who makes it form them)

The evo motor outputs 85nM vs 50nM from the Turbo. Both are mid-drives so they are very comparable at the same gear ratio. This means the evo can provide significantly more help on hills and taking off from a dead stop than the turbo.

Turbo has a potentially better support network. I'm aware of a lot of shops that carry Specialized, not so much Bulls, but YMMV, your shops could be different.
