run away from this company .. But dont take my word for it.. Do yourself this one simple due diligence.. Call them up... before you buy this.. call them up as if you have one simple question.. All of their numbers are disconnected and or go to a recording where you cant even leave a message. I found this out by trying to cancel my existing subscription..

I wouldn't support a company that took away a feature then offered it back to me as a subscription. Screw that and screw Arlo.

What feature? For me, I'm glad Arlo is an american based company and not a Chinese company with who knows what their data privacy standards are

Arlo with the Arlo pro and Arlo Pro 2 had several features....7 day recording storage and email notifications if movement to name a couple. You paid a premium price for these, and in return you got these benefits.

Later, they updated their end of life policies, trying to take away the weeks worth of recording. Again, you paid a premium price for that feature, but everything else was going subscription model. When they took away email notifications, that was my last straw. Won't get me as a customer ever again.

I added a USB drive to my hub so I can record locally, only to find the the newer units won't record locally anymore even when the earlier models did. They disabled their own devices to force you into a subscription.

Just Arlo.. I have not done business with HSN in quite some time.. but when i did i remember getting good deals and smooth transactions.. I even once returned a heating blanket to them without any issues .
