Years ago I gave up on finding a good quality budget set and sprung for the Klein tools. Before that, every cheap set I tried claiming to be CRV steel had the bit hardness of Play-doh. Especially the smaller bit sizes would instantly round off. Maybe they figured out the bit hardness issue since I was shopping for one, but I'm skeptical.

Yeah I mean they're not to be used for anything even remotely tough. Great for computers, phones, etc.

Small bits are rarely torqued, if they were, they'd destroy the plastic they were threaded into. And if the bit didn't strip, your 0.005 cent screw would.

You are overthinking this, we aren't talking about impact rated stuff Wink

And fix it has always been the gold standard for cheap tool sets like this. Hell, most of these kits copy the original indict kit design

funny i bought a 20-30$ klein set and the first 2 bits i used (ps4 controller, watch) both twisted and bent instantly. super soft . might as well get a 5$ set if they're all soft
