You already know it's in good condition, why you need to know if others buy from them before?
Everyone's definition of good isn't the same...

I actually picked up a refurb M1 pro from Woot about 2 months ago for just a little more than this but no extra 1 year warranty. It was considered excellent and there was not a sigle scratch and only had 50 cycles on the battery. Totally worth it. I've tried picking up a few refurbs from Ebay and the one I did manage to keep was in excellent condition but they also had the pictures of the actual laptop and batter cycle count so I knew what I was getting vs. these which use stock photos. The M1 Pro still holds up really well - for day to day office stuff with 30 tabs open, there's no difference compared to my M4 mac mini.

i've got basically this as my work development machine the last 3 years except with 32GB....

(if I hadn't dropped it and dented the back it'd look pretty "refurb excellent")

the discount is definitely nice, and to this day an m1 pro is still really fast feeling. I'm actually about to get my machine refreshed for an M4 next year, and I'd guess a lot of these refurbs come from corporate users like me (my machine, is at 124 cycles 86% battery, which is probably on the higher side of decent for 3.5 years) and has plenty of life left. Probably a good deal since it was probably a $2k laptop 4 years ago but I'd feel like a m4 air honestly would be almost as good for only a little more unless you really want the slighty larger screen and like hdmi port etc.

The MacBook Pro has a vastly superior screen, promotion, hdr and better speakers than the air, but the air is newer and one can add AppleCare to it.

Its the condition of item advertised by seller, you will never know the real condition until you get it. So he/she was just asking for experiences buying "ADVERTISED " good condition items.
