I had the same $49 look of renewal price but that is actually the price I paid for the current year. When I went to renew it, the new year was actually $98. I don't think it's worth that to me. I'll gladly pay the $49, but $100 is too much. I get free pick up either way. I like free shipping but I hardly use delivery.

You get Paramount+ or Peacock for free. You get "early access" sometimes, which I usually don't care about but it did give me the chance to buy an awesome TLC television (which was a slickdeal according to our fellow forum members).Paramount+ has the European cup leagues: Champion's League, Europa League, Conference League. That alone makes it worth it to me, probably even at 98 dollars.Oh yeah, 10 cents per gallon off at Walmart gas stations and some other places as well.

Walmart DOES NOT just charge people $98 for a $49 membership promo, it would show at checkout how much your CC is being charged. I have the feeling you misunderstood what you were buying.
I went to cancel my membership earlier in the year and it gave me the 50% off renewal. I have a screenshot in my account showing the $49 price, but was charged the full amount. Only remedy by CS was to cancel and refund my membership.
