The best thing to do is to track the renewal date on the Walmart + website. Then, cancel it a few days to a week before it automatically renews. If they are going to offer you anything to keep it, they'll do it immediately when you try to cancel.
This is the email I got on 10/14/25 when I was signed up for the $49 promotion that was on this forum back in October.

The thing is the fuel savings alone make it almost worth it. Walmart fuel with the additional savings makes the gas the slightly cheaper than Costco or Sam's. I may recover the full amount from just gas since both me and my spouse have to drive a lot. But other than that , there is not much use for us. Amazon delivers usually the same day or overnight for us and so Walmart free shipping with plus is no real advantage. And it's tempting not to get it just to get rid of another membership.
