I started having mild problems a year in, then they progressively got worse. 5 years later they don't work at all.
That's completely apart from the company handling their services and features in a poor manner.
I just replaced it with a Safemo system. Feature wise it appears the same as the original Arlo system, and seemingly more respective of your privacy.
As far as deals go, you can get a 2 camera system for $190 and there's a deal on Amazon where you can get a third camera for free (though without a solar panel for charging). Pretty good deal, but I haven't had it long enough to fully recommend.

If I were you, I'd file a claim with my credit card company to block all payments. They'll try to contact Arlo as well and will see you are truthful about them not being contactable and then just credit you the last payment amount.
