How good are the "fair" monitors, typically? I suppose there's not much risk since these should be covered by Best Buy's extended holiday return period so I would have two months to check for burn-in and any weirdness on these monitors, right?

I have gotten practically new looking items that are fair, and some beat up stuff marked as excellent. If you have one available for pickup near you, it's easier to show up take a look and have them plug it into the wall. Then pay. I typically do that with large item's like TV's to not waste my time lugging it back.

The fair I bought was apparently a store demo with 3200 power on hours. It came wrapped in bubble wrap and included all cables. I didn't notice burn in but returned it anyway.
