It's true. You actually might get a full charge using short cable (USB-C->C), but it definitely won't charge to full if you're wireless charging (due to inefficient energy conversion). Don't forget about the heat output from wireless chargng as well!

The truth is that It's not really meant to give you a new 100% charge. Assume if your phone usage is "150% per day", then this device would suffice in getting you throughout the day before you end at 10% on the nightstand charger before bedtime. The pros of having these new wave of slim chargers is that it makes your phone 100% usable while charging (instead of having a 10000/20000 charger in your pocket with a cable dangling throughout the day.

Suggestion: buy 2 of these and swap them out (so you'll always have a fully charged one ready to go).

This appears to be $10 on Amazon right now and the reviews aren't great. Considering the capacity and risk of fire I think I'll pass.

I feel like anything under 10K mAh for phones is too low. This could barely charge my phones battery a single time. If I would use the wireless charging, it wouldn't even be able to charge it once.

I can't find it on Amazon. And what bad reviews are you referring to?

Surely, they typically have 60% conversion rate using the cable. This one will charge an iPhone 17 from 0% to 80% and an S25 to 75%. A 10000 mAh will full charge and have some juice left. However, 10k mAh ones are thicker and heavier at around 200-250g range, heavier than most phones, while those 5k mAh ones are around 100-120g and much slimmer that you can comfortably carry them in your pocket.

Based on that it's an Energizer wireless charger and it's $10 after coupon, the poster seems to be this one: https://www.amazon.com/Energizer-...B0D3DNH8GP

But even a cursory glance can see that's not the same charger and thus the reviews aren't really applicable.

Yeah, it's amazing the number of people who think of these as some kind of primary charging device when really, it's just something you can slip into your pocket or have attached to your phone to get a bit more juice.

I purchased one today. Probably going to return it. It works fine (slow charging message on my iPhone 14 via wireless) and decent charging speed via usb c to lighting cable. The problem is I could hear something rattling around in it when I took it out of the package. Maybe it was just the one I got, but still. It is very thin though and the magnet strength is decent.

I got one today. Mine also makes a rattling sound. It is the power indicator button. If you hold the button and shake, there is no sound. I am OK with it for price

Bought two thinking they were good deal. Somewhat disappointed. Only changed to about 40% for iPhone 13 Pro Max. Charged less % than other brands I have. Comparatively weighs lighter and not as good build also. I don't think I'll be using it for on the go use since I'm not sure how well I can depend on it. Will go into my nightstand drawers
