This two pack of EcoFlow DELTA 3 Smart Extra Batteries stands out as a strong expansion option when you need more runtime for compatible Delta 3 and Delta 2 setups. The effective price works out to about $320 per battery, which is well below EcoFlow direct pricing and still looks reasonable versus a recent Costco battery deal. Compatibility is the main catch, though, since these do not work with the Delta 3 Ultra, River 3 Plus, or the newer Delta 3 Classic, and they cannot be daisy chained like Delta Pro batteries. A solid add on if your power station matches the right series.

Common Questions (5)

  • It does not work with the Delta 3 Ultra because that model has no expansion port. The Delta 3 Ultra Plus does have an expansion port, but it uses the larger Pro expansion batteries instead.

  • Yes, it works with the regular Delta 2. It can be a practical add-on if you already own that unit and want extra capacity.

  • No, it cannot be daisy chained like the Delta Pro extra batteries. That limits how far you can expand a setup with multiple batteries.

  • No. The River 3 Plus only accepts the 300EB or 600EB expansion batteries, and only one of them can be added.

  • The deal works out to about $320 per battery. That is below EcoFlow's direct pre-Black Friday price of $409 each.

Delta 3 ultra doesn't have an expansion port. The Ultra Plus does.
Either way I believe the ultra plus uses the larger pro expansion batteries.

Essentially the same or a bit worse than the deal for 2x Delta 2 Max batteries on Costco a few weeks ago ($1199 for 2 batteries, 2048 kWh each), different power unit of course

Ecoflow naming conventions have gone off the rails. No one knows what product does anything anymore

At $320/battery this is a stellar deal, Ecoflow direct has these on their pre-BF sale for $409

Decent price for these but wish they could be daisy chained like the delta pro and extra batteries for it. I've got a d3 plus and one of these, it has never crossed my mind to get more extended batteries

Yep. They know they have a problem. Here is their current list for just Delta 3. It's out of control.

Delta 3 Max
Delta 3 Max Plus
Delta 3 Classic
Delta 3 <<<<----- this one here
Delta 3 1500
Delta 3 Plus
Delta 3 Pro
Delta 3 Ultra
Delta 3 Ultra Plus

That's why a few days ago they sent this email out:

[QUOTE=Medic311;180061276]

I can appreciate you want to help people, however there is no Delta 3 Pro.
There is a Delta PRO 3 on the PRO series line (240V capable) not on the 3 series.

And respectfully when you continue to copy and publish this list it only adds further to confusion and mis-information.

And just for the record these also work great with the regular Delta 2. Bought a couple of these recently when they were on sale for around $286 each. But this price isn't too bad if you need two of them

Unfortunately no. Only the 300EB or 600EB can be added to the River 3 Plus (and only 1).
