This is a great price... It is basically the heads up competition to Neptune 4 Max. The issue for me is 3x. This is a generation old printer and missing a lot of the AI and most importantly speed of the newer printers. Second this is a bed slinger and these huge bed slingers with the 500mm top height make things...interesting. Finally, one color. Just a thing with this generation...almost everything was one color. You can do pauses but it is a PITA. However, its hard to beat this price if you need large format. Currently there is only one consumer grade large format that does multi-color and it has the exact same draw backs.

I kinda want to buy this just to see what it does at 500mm and bed slinging. 😂

Hey you seem to have some knowledge, maybe you can point me in the right direction,im looking to get into 3d printing with my kids, what would you recommend for us? Never had one, have done some research but there is so much stuff going on. Thank you in advance!

Color is over rated. Just print, sand and paint. Geez.

I'm new to 3d printing as well, and just picked up the flashforge ad5x from the recent slickdeal to mess around with with my kids, and man do they love it. Their favorite part is the "poop" chute. I highly recommend. All the reviews say it's a great affordable beginner printer with the bonus of multi color printing. It really is a great quality printer, so far.

I am a newer 3d printer person and went nuts with the hobby. Since starting 4 months ago for my 54th bday I now have 2 Kobra S1 combos a K3 combo and a k3max combo. Most of the guys I work with (IT) print for profit and have businesses selling articulated toys. They have farms of printers that run around the clock. Bambu labs is their go to printer of choice for ease of use, ease of repair (when its infrequently needed) and general high quality. Right now Bambu has some amazing deals because they are selling off their current gear for a big release in January of their newest printer that is all the talk. If I could go back in time, I would probably have gotten Bambu printers myself. But Anycubic are hard to beat for the price. You end up tinkering with them a lot more than I would like IMO. But its how I learn. If you are ok with something that may require tinkering be sure to check out the Anycubic refurbished page. Its only found by searching for refurbished on their main website and they have amazing deals there all the time. I got the K3 max (prints really big sized items) for just over 300 dollars and it lists for several hundred than that. If you want a printer that you put on the table and start using, I personally thing Bambu is hard to beat. But you will find that everyone has an idea of what they think is best. Some of the more experienced people may have better advice. Since I am new to printing I figured I would throw in my novice advice from my experiences. Don't get the K2. You want the auto leveling and all the latest tech you can get in your price range. The older stuff like the K2 is not worth buying these days IMO due to lack of features and tech.

Your comment hits home with me. I have a total of 6 Ace Pros for multicolor printing and hardly ever print multicolor just because of the time and waste with poop. They are basically expensive dryer boxes for me LOL.

Yes that's what i think. It's not like a laser or inkjet that everything needs to be photo quality with accurate color matching. Don't even want to paint. I want to design or download models and print computer chassis, brackets, knobs, vacuum cleaner tube adapters, mini blower handle extension. Not into useless action figures and other such crap.
Does this open printer need a DIY enclosure to prevent air circulation? I read air is bad.
