Otherwise, this is a lot of computer for the price, one of the better deals.
The only real downside is it only has a 500w power supply, so you are very limited in future upgrades.
It was posted just 2 weeks ago for a few bucks more: https://slickdeals.net/f/18721408-hp-omen-16l-gaming-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-265f-16gb-ddr5-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5060-ti-16gb-gddr7-1tb-ssd-panda-metal-1179-99
If you read the comments, the deal expired and is now available again for $5 less.

Same thing, same price, posted by you on October 6th? Right or am I missing something? The $1,174.99 is in your title.

Thanks for bringing this up though and providing your feedback.

The Ultra 7 265F is a high-end processor, plus the 16gb GPU is solid.
Not really sure why this would not get more thumbs up.
Bad part is I am finding the deals were better last month on desktop computers than this month. Hoping we see a great deal on something.
Same cpu, lesser graphic card but more storage and ram and is cheaper

The 8gb 5060 will really limit you to 1080p gaming, which is fine. But stepping up to the 5060 ti 16gb will let you game in 1440p and will give you more horsepower 5 years from now.
If you want pure gaming power and frame rates the HP is better. You will have no issues gaming in 1440p at 20-25% more frame rates than the 5060 8gb. Plus, you are future proof with 16gb of vram.
But the MSI gives you more RAM, bigger SSD, better power supply and an extra year warranty for $175 less. It's a better deal, but not if your only goal is gaming performance.
They did have a nice Lenovo Legion with a 5070 12gb (32gb, 1tb, 7700x, 850w ps) on sale for $1290 (I also have $45 in points) about two weeks ago that I will buy if it comes down to that price again. Otherwise, I think I may go the Costco MSI route and just have to be okay that it's only a 5060. I haven't recently seen a better-rounded computer for the money.
All just my opinion of course and totally depends on your budget, mine is $1000 - $1200 but a little bit more if I can pull a 5070 12gb on a name brand machnie.

Similar specs to the MSI but with a 5070 for $1300. More upgradeable to since it uses all "standard" components. It is $300 more than the MSI but a 5070 is $300 more than a 5060.
Of note this was $1200 a few weeks back, not sure if it will go that low again.
