I've got a bunch of these grip handle plates from this brand and they're fantastic. Makes it so much easier taking them on and off the bar and the rack. I've weighed all of them and they've all been within a pound over or under the target weight, which is as good as you can ask for at the $1 per pound and under price range. If you need a cheap barbell this is a no-brainer.

Thanks OP. Was looking for a sub $/lb deal for plate weights with handles like this. I saw some even cheaper plates at Walmart some weeks/ months ago back, but feel better about these here.

plates are a bit thinner and a bit larger diameter than standard iron weights, other than they weight is weight and they are fine. Pretty solid deal with the barbell!

How would that affect ground based lifts like deadlift?

Sure, but I prefer bumper plates for deadlift. Go google deadlifting and see what the majority of people are using for deadlift. GMBO!

bumper plates have been on fire sale for the last couple years that's one reason. I've gotten them brand new as low as 30 cents a lb this year.
