Amazon is lowering prices to match Barnes & Noble. Personally, I'd suggest buying from B&N to encourage retail physical media sales.

Are there any good prices in here? Half off these things are still crazy expensive. I know, "niche market", but $25 is a lot for one movie.

FYI, not all of the titles listed are from the Criterion collection, and are not 50% off.

From the B&N post, this stated it very well!

"Figured I'd drop a quick heads-up for anyone new to these Criterion Collection sales:These movies cost more than your usual Blu-rays and 4Ks, even when discounted, but the restorations, packaging, and extras are what you're paying for.You won't find many blockbusters here because Criterion focuses on classics, indies, and foreign films. No digital copies come with the discs. They're really made for people who like collecting physical media. If you prefer streaming, Criterion has its own service (The Criterion Channel) with a lot of overlap plus some exclusives. This 50% off Barnes & Noble sale only happens twice a year (July and November), so it's a good time to stock up."

Who ever you choose to purchase from, please keep supporting physical media!

Just picked up Nightmare Alley and the Eyes Wide Shut Preorder from B&N.

Last months Criterion flash sale cooked me. Still recovering 😭

They have a gift card promo going on right now, too. When you purchase $100 in gc, you get an additional $10 gc.

If anyone is big on audio and have a decent setup.
You might want to look into The Others 4k.

The audio transfer is really good.

Keep in mind it's a straight picture transfer, no HDR.

Normally not a good thing but it's done pretty good also.

Please buy from B&N, Amazon only price matches because they do the sale. If they stop doing it, they will no longer PM. Competition is good for consumers.
