Perhaps someone more educated can educate me. $285 for seven wrenches is a deal?
Sure, probably for professionals, but for us average joes?

Bit excessive but you'd spend that much on the large, medium and almost small pairs that would be useful so you could throw the 180 and 300s in various other places to lose and not be out any money. Hope you got in on it while it was available

I've used cheap Irwin plier wrenches, let me tell you it's kind of useful as they are as both plyers and even slightly useful as a wrench.

yet I seriously doubt this set would find as much value as it costs... in order to keep the pliers on a bolt, you have to keep pressure which means you have to squeeze it while trying to rotate it, it's kind of challenging. Doable but not better.

Since these normally go for ~$45 or so for the smaller ones, it's definitely a discount to get them at an average of ~$41. I assume those huge ones are way way more by themselves. But your other point is correct. Average joe doesn't need this. I've treated myself to some Knipex tools on sale but they're massive overkill for me. They definitely have a nicer feel and are more enjoyable to use, but if that's not your thing, absolutely get cheaper versions.

Tools may not be your thing.

But the Knipex plier wrenches are the absolute best on the market. And this was QUITE the deal on them.

Agree and this type of tool is one of those "these seem gimmicky" or more likely still "I tried some gimmicky version of these that sucked so these suck too"

Expensive, yes. Niche, nooo. After having abused some Irwin ones (that still get used) even getting the two smallest sizes in this combo at this price is dope enough to make the set worth it for larger things I can hopefully hunt for even fewer. wrenches. Don't lose them and they'll be a BOCO item.

But for real do not sleep on a way to get just the right grip on the most OBSCENELY INCONSISTENT SIZES of some nuts - ffs Harbor Freight part bin shelves - that nothing else will hold without destroying.
