They have refurb Dell Optiplex 5050 i5, 8g ram, 500g hdd for only $75, $67.50 shipped after new user discount from discountcomputerdepot.com. No OS but a pretty nice and comparable setup. I just snagged one and put Win11 and Linux Mint on it this week.

Here's a link. if anyone wants one. I got the $5 off new customer discount and some other discount just automatically populated and wiped out the sales tax. Shipping was free. It's a pretty similar setup to this one. https://discountcomputerdepot.com...ng-system/

It's in no way comparable

The i7-6700 slightly outperforms the i5-7500, but they're 10 and 8 years old, respectively. The Ultra 5 225 outperforms both by a wide margin and is a modern processor, released in Q1 of this year.

The main problems I see with the refurbished one are, as UniqueMagic721 pointed out, it doesn't come with an OS (and doesn't support Windows 11). The second is it has a traditional mechanical hard drive rather than an SSD, so it's going to much slower loading apps, booting up, and slower in general.

I also don't think it's comparable, as garth25 said.
