Price checks out on the NEX website but the VETSDAY2025 coupon code doesn't generate a discount, for me. No error with the code, just doesn't apply discount.

I would have preferred the B&W PX8 S2, but went with these because they were less than half the price. They're pretty good, but I definitely don't get the luxurious feels from them.

Been using the XM6's since they were released. Noise cancellation is incredible, and battery life is insanely amazing. A cool feature that surprised me is if you have them stored in your phones bluetooth devices and tv's, they will connect to both and auto switch to which ever is playing audio.

Do these nicer headphones (Sony, Bose, etc) work effectively when using a gas blower...blowing leaves? or does that level of noise require something beefier?

They are utilitarian. Nothing luxury about them. But working well and not breaking is the benchmark for me. I don't wear these outside, so luxury or style isn't really a priority. My house isn't going to care if it has birch wood inlay. And air travel is a trashbag dumpster fire. Ain't looking to impress the unwashed masses there either.

When I say "luxury," I'm not talking about how it looks to other people. It's how they feel. My WH6s feel like consumer electronics designed by engineers, while PX8 S2s feel like cushions designed by some advanced alien species to feel comfortable on human heads.

Ah, fair enough. I can appreciate that. That is important. Not very enjoyable when clamping force is distracting you from sound quality.
