Not seeing it in the Costco flyer. I think you're wrong on this. Only see the QM6K for $1099 and Q77K for $899, both of which are lesser tvs.

"The TCL Q750G and TCL QM6K are closely matched. The Q750G is a bit brighter in HDR and in SDR, but in turn, the QM6K has deeper contrast than the Q750G, albeit with more visible blooming. This one is not Q'M'751G. This is a different model Q751G. One main difference among others is that this one is not a mini LED.

Direct lit backlight. It's not going to have great blacks. This is not the qm751 it's the q751.

The Q77 at Costco is a FAR inferior TV to the Q7. The Costco model is shady marketing, as they essentially renamed the 2023 Q6, but added a higher refresh rate. The Q77 has no local dimming and poor brightness.

This still has local dimming with a decent amount of dimming zones. It has decent HDR.

The Costco TV he's talking about also isn't even the Q750G. The Q77 is a Costco exclusive model that is really a Q6 with a higher refresh rate, and no local dimming. It's a crap level TV with a shady renaming scheme.
