This one is good for camper. Your home backup usually requires 240v 30amp output

You could run small appliances with it, but it won't last long. It has 3000 watt hours of battery, so you can run one watt for 3,000 hours or something that is 300 watts for 10 hours or something that is 3,000 watts for one hour. The average US home uses around 20,000 watt hours (20 kilowatt hours) per day. A $1,000 gas generator will put out a lot more power and last as long as you keep feeding it gas.

It won't be a home backup but you can keep your refrigerator up and running for about 3 to 5 days which is awesome.

Do these units have to be on for the solar to charge? I hear it has high vampire drain so people put it on a timer to go on and off. Will it charge even when off?

It puts out 3600 watts, which is equivalent to the average generator. You just have to understand how long it will last with what you power from it and plan accordingly (you can "feed" it solar power, or charge it from a gas generator for a brief time instead of running a generator continuously).

For anyone looking at this deal, Wellbots has the same combo for $1799 with 2% off using code ECOF2 bringing it to $1763 -- but more importantly they don't charge sales tax to many states (such as WA).

Amex cardholders may also have an offer for $100 off $999 at Wellbots. Not sure if I'll bite now or wait until actual Black Friday.

Can someone confirm if this can do 30a out with concurrent charging 15a ac from generator. I don't have solar or want to do acdc converter. Seem this and delta pro 3 are only power stations that can do this.
if so, then I think it's worth premium over pecron and others. i think it's called power supplement in eps mode.
