Not just storage, but moving! I did a move a couple years ago using boxes -- they get expensive (quick!), and fall apart with any weight, stacking or just moving them around. Not to mention the other supplies needed (like tape). Stack them on top of eachother and they're just done for. I moved again a few months ago and used storage totes exclusively, and it was so much easier. They're made to be stacked, they don't fall apart, they don't need tape and they look a whole lot better than brown boxes. Grab a $12 4-wheel dolly cart from home Depot and they stack perfectly on top and hold about 1000 lbs. Made my move so much easier, quicker and cheaper since they're reusableWith that said, not all black and yellow totes are the same. They look the same, but some brands seem to be sturdier or heavier duty.. they're also slightly different in dimensions despite the same capacity, so it's best to not mix and match

i second the easier to move and try not to mix&match brands as some are wider or taller so stacking can look odd or not secure

I checked these out last week in store and they are absolutely the smelliest plastic I've ever encountered, just reeks like the foulest cigarettes. I've bought other brands and while they stink it's nowhere near as bad. The performax are also significantly thinner and flimsier, total pass for me. I'm sure they'll degas with time but hard to say how much and how fast, and if you bring them indoors before then you'll likely pass out from the stench
